I was reading a previous post regarding dog food. I understand when buying dog food, you want to look at the ingredients, not just at the ingredients but the primary and secondary. I feed my dogs nutro – all of them has been on nutro simply because our vet recommended it and can be purchased at a pet store easily. However there is a site that rates dog foods but doesn’t say how it is rated except for listing out the percentages of protein, fat, and fiber. Should an owner be concerned be concerned about fiber? I know as humans we need fiber to … ahem poop? what about dogs? some dogs food has high protein but very low fiber. what is best for the dog? I have corgis if that helps answer my question
No one knows for sure, although everyone has an opinion, about what is right for dogs to eat. Dogs are different and if you are getting good results: good energy, good behavior, nice skin, no odor, good teeth, regular eliminating, good weight, good checkups from the vet then you are fine.
